Optional Google Analytics cookies

When analytics is allowed, Google Analytics can set first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_… to distinguish visits and understand site usage. Our tag requests a one-year cookie lifetime without extending it on each visit; browser behaviour or other service settings can shorten storage. We do not use advertising cookies in this site tag.

We use the country supplied by our hosting provider to select the initial setting without saving a consent choice. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, or if the regional check fails, the Google Analytics tag waits for an explicit opt-in. Elsewhere it starts on unless you have opted out. We also respect Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals. Rejecting or withdrawing analytics disables collection on subsequent page loads and attempts to clear accessible first-party Google Analytics cookies. It does not delete past server-side records. Browser storage used by the site

• glowlab.consent remembers your analytics choice until changed or browser storage is cleared.
• glowlab.analytics-excluded remembers an internal-testing exclusion. It prevents Analytics even when analytics consent is allowed.
• glowlab.face remembers your selected illustrative face in the recovery illustration until changed or storage is cleared. It is a model choice, not an uploaded photo.
• Restricted administration uses a session credential in session storage for the operator’s session. Visitors do not need an administrator login.
